The Lincoln Park Conservancy celebrated its volunteers and 2022 volunteering milestones this month at the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon! The Luncheon took place at Salvatore’s in Lincoln Park with delicious drinks, food, and a lovely time had by all. The Luncheon featured a short presentation along with a celebration of volunteer milestones, including Norm Raidl’s 20th year in the docent program. Norm is also a Board Member and was a cofounder of the docent program in 2003. He was honored with a certificate of achievement, commemorative pin, and an original painting of the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool by Chicago artist Steve Slaske. Attending volunteers received gift bags and participated in a fun raffle as well. Our volunteers mean so much to us and we wanted to make sure those in attendance felt appreciated. We want to always provide our volunteers with a friendly, fun, and welcoming space to celebrate their achievements and our beautiful Lincoln Park.

In other volunteer news, registration for spring docent training at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool is officially full! We look forward to welcoming a new group of docents and having a successful spring training session. Folks interested in fall docent training at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, or even next spring’s docent training at the Lily Pool, can email Amelia at apollock@lincolnparkconservancy.org.
