Spring 2023 Volunteer Updates

Share to:

Spring is here and we’re looking forward to celebrating our volunteers during this year’s upcoming National Volunteer Week, April 17-23! Of course, we love to celebrate our volunteers all year round, but this year docents and greeters will enjoy special perks and thank-yous throughout the month of April. These will include t-shirts featuring our new logo, new badges and other updated swag, and a few surprises along the way!

In ongoing events and programs, docent training in the Lily Pool will begin April 1, we’re hosting many kinds of volunteers for our Earth Day festivities on April 22, and we’re reintroducing Wildflower Walks training in May! Wildflower Walk leaders guide adult guests around North Pond and the Lily Pool for one hour on select Saturday mornings from May through October. Training will happen over the course of three Sunday morning sessions: May 7, July 23, and September 24.

If you’re a nature nut, wildflower enthusiast, or current Wildflower Walk leader looking for a refresher, and you’d like to share your love of local wildlife with visitors to the Park, email me at apollock@lincolnparkconservancy.org for more information and to reserve your spot for the training. Training will be limited to 20 participants and participants are asked to make their best effort to attend all three sessions.
