We’re on track to break ground on North Pond’s restoration this fall. On August 26th, the Chicago Plan Commission approved the Lakefront Protection application for our North Pond Restoration Project. This approval represented a major step in the project timeline to ensure that work can begin this fall.

Adding to the good news for North Pond, thanks to an anonymous $100k donation and an anonymous 1:1 matching grant through year’s end, we’re within $100k of our target to close the funding gap for the $7.3-million restoration project. This matching grant means you can DOUBLE your impact to help save North Pond. There’s truly never been a better time to donate!

As we approach the start of this major park improvement, we welcome the community’s feedback! If you have questions or want to learn more about our restoration plans, please check out our project page. You can also reach out at 773-883-PARK or info@lincolnparkconservancy.org.
