#LPLove: Support Our 2023 Annual Fund

Share to:

In 1984, the Lincoln Park Conservancy created the first public-private partnership with the Chicago Park District. Since that time, with the support of generous donors, the Conservancy has improved – and in some cases transformed — the Park for Chicago’s residents and visitors from around the globe. As we approach our 40th anniversary, we ask that you continue to support the Conservancy and its mission by contributing to our Annual Fund.

In 2022 we developed an ambitious five-year strategic plan to expand our geographic footprint in the Park and engage more communities in our mission; identify, fund and implement new capital projects; and fulfill our commitment to maintain our projects for the long-term. This year, in pursuit of the strategic plan, our work has included the following projects:

  • We are refreshing the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, one of our most cherished projects, through infrastructure repairs and plantings. This fall and winter we will take on the specialized work of restoring the Lily Pool’s historic pavilions.
  • In south Lincoln Park, where we restored the Lincoln Monument and Gardens, we are partnering with the Chicago Park District and Gold Coast Neighbors Association to develop an exciting new master plan intended to make the area a cohesive and welcoming community space.
  • With the major work on North Pond’s restoration completed, we are working toward accessibility and other upgrades to the casting pier.
  • As part of our community engagement initiative, we met with more than 25 community groups and leaders from various neighborhoods to envision how the Conservancy can work with them to improve amenities and other features throughout the Park.

The work of our staff and the generosity of our donors is complemented by the collective impact of our dedicated volunteers. Through the Lincoln Park docent, Lincoln Park Litter Patrol, and North Pond Gardener programs, Conservancy volunteers have enhanced the park through nearly 3,000 hours of service this year.

The Lincoln Park Conservancy’s work is a labor of love, and we are honored to partner with Park lovers like you. Please show your #LPLove by donating toward our work. Your gift will provide valuable support and will go even farther thanks to a very generous anonymous donor that will match Annual Fund donations dollar for dollar up to $50,000.
